When we left Melide this morning, it was a chilly 52 degrees. We walked a total of 10 miles today.
I really enjoyed looking at the architecture of the homes we passed by.
We walked with many pilgrims today heading to Santiago. We caught up with our friends, Christopher & Pyreethi from Australia & stopped for a delicious empanada lunch.
We hiked through forests, over streams & ponds and saw many Eucalyptus trees once again.
We visited a church called Parroquia Santiago de Boente. It was beautiful.
My feet held up pretty good today...no new blisters to report! My friend, Pyreethi, gifted me some lambs wool to put between my toes tomorrow which is suppose to help with preventing blisters.
Unfortunately, Pat tweaked his back so the last few miles of our hike today was difficult for him. I grabbed salads for our dinner and we ate in our room so that Pat would have more time to rest. We are hoping a good night's rest will do the trick and that he will be able to hike tomorrow. If you would send us good vibes or a prayer for quick healing, it would be much appreciated!
Namaste,
Peace & blessings from Spain!
Darn.... poor Pat. I am so sorry to hear that! Maybe he can ice it before you begin your next day of walking? I am praying for quick healing for him and your feet. I am so excited for you to reach Santiago... I feel like I am holding my breath till you reach the end. You two are truly AMAZING! I love that you met up with your new friends...that is so fun. Sending mucho love and healing hugs!
Easy peasy, right!? Ha...only ten miles. :) I'm glad your feet are holding up. Bummer with Pat's back, but I'm believing it will be fine in the morning after a good night's sleep and all the prayers and good vibes coming his way. Sending prayers and healing Reiki. Two more days!!!! Wow.
