Telehealth Therapy, A Place for Rest

With the outbreak of the Coronavirus, mental well-being can be impacted. There are intentional ways to self-nurture during this time of uncertainty to increase physical and emotional wellness.

Anxiety can naturally result from watching the # of Coronavirus cases climb. In addition, coping with social isolation can also increase anxious feelings.

A few things, under your control, to help settle, calm and soothe raw nerves during this time of flux:

· Limit your news intake. Adequate information is necessary. Overload of repetitive news is not and can be detrimental to mental health.

· Get back to the basics of living a healthy lifestyle. Eat nutritious, healthy food including plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Make sure that you are getting 7 – 9 hours of sleep nightly. Exercise, stretch, move your body daily. Meditation (planting seeds for body relaxation and present moment being) is balm for a hyper-aroused nervous system.

During this time of uncertainty there is much we can do to not only survive but thrive.

Would it be helpful to talk, process and/or come up with an intentional daily plan during this time of unrest? I offer telehealth therapy – connection via audio or video sessions.

I would like support you. Please call today.

Peace, safety and health wished for you,

Mary Hughes, LPC
